Our handmade Zafus, are beautifully crafted and unique.
We only use natural fibers, the cover is always made with linen, Silk or cotton fabric and embellish on the top with a beautiful colorful cotton print. The filling is our very own natural wool from our sheep who happily pasture on the rolling hills of our certified organic and biodynamic farm.
OUR MATERIALS AND WOOL: We do NOT fill the Zafus with Buckwheat, Spelt Husk, or outsource our wool to buy larger quantities at a cheaper price, compromising the quality of our products. All the wool we use, comes from our own sheep, and the process of shearing, cleaning, selecting and filling the zafus with it, is tedious, requiring a lot of time, care and love. So if you are looking for not just a beautiful comfortable pillow but top quality natural materials? Then you will love our Zafus.
Measurements approximately 10" wide x 9" hight.
The zafus being stuffed with wool make for a soft and comfortable sitting lower to the ground, it is best for those who are comfortable sitting cross legged and don't need too much support but a gentle assistance for their meditation practice.
Your meditation seat is also called an "asana", and acts as an insulator to absorb and maintain your meditation energy and keep it from being drained off into the floor or ground. Wool is used as a filler because wool absorbs energy well, and eventually your asana becomes charged with your own Shakti, enabling you to go into deeper states of meditation just by sitting on it.
If you want extra comfort you can use one of our sheepskins as a zafuton, to ease the comfort of your ankles and legs.
Washable cover, there is a zipper at the bottom of the zafu to be able to take out the wool for easy washing and also to be able to fluff it back up. Comes with a handle for easy carrying.
